The CHPD Poncherello features a simple block graphic, with the left hand corner missing to represent 'The Chop.' When my good friend and fellow small business owner, Andrew Pringle of Surf City Cycles - saw the design for the first time, he asked was it paying homage to the 80s TV show, CHiPs. From that moment on I've been referring to this design as the Poncerello after the character Frank 'Ponch' Poncerello of the Californian Highway Patrol.
